Adidas Originals unveils the redesign of the contemporary icon, the Ozweego trainers.

The iconic fashion house has made a comeback with the 1990s raver-favourite trainers in an array of five vibrant colourways.

The newly revamped Ozweego trainers are set to celebrate its origins with the party-heavy 90s design, released from August 8, 2019.

With multiple previous editions of the innovative running shoes, the stylish and aggressive aesthetic relates to the modern footwear trend that we see today.

Adidas’ reinterpretation of the Ozweego 3 perfectly fuses retro silhouettes with futuristic characteristics to make a powerful running shoe for the modern-day, fashion-savvy male.

The New Adidas Originals Ozweego: A Revamp From the Past

From the Ozweego 1, released in 1996, this bold running shoe took the fashion world by a storm with its unique design.

After four versions were released, Adidas put a stop to the redesigning of the shoe by the 2000s, however, in 2013, Raf Simons brought the Ozweego 1 back to life with a recreation of the chunky-trainers – seeing these as some of the most popular trainers ever created.

Expect to see elements from the distinctive and free-spirited running design that was built to offer superior shock absorption, featuring a lightweight mesh upper, suede and TPU overlays, complete with carefully crafted Adiprene and Adiprene+ for maximum comfort.

These cushioning innovation techniques dim the stress that impacts movement places on your feet which helps to minimise the risk of injury.

The 2019 Ozweego release is bound to be seen on some of Instagram’s top influencers this year.

Spotted on the likes of Kayne West in previous versions of the Ozweego, showing clear popularity to this style of vintage trainer and its relation to the current fashion trend.

Watch out to see this mainstream chunky-trainer trend fast approaching on to your social media newsfeed.
