Kanye West and Gap are joining forces to bring the rapper and entrepreneur’s Yeezy brand to the high-street.
Yeezy began life in 2015 when Kanye released his first apparel collection as part of a collaboration with German sports wear brand Adidas.
Since then Yeezy has grown to incorporate clothing and footwear and is valued at 2.9 billion USD.
Mark Breitbard, Global Head of Gap Brand, said: “We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his YEEZY brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership.”
Kanye announced the partnership on his Twitter account on 26 June.
The YEEZY Gap line is expected to appear in Gap stores and Gap.com in 2021.
